GPD has been offering the new version of the Win Max 2 for a few weeks, having showcased it on December 6. However, Droix has now stepped in to offer the Win Max 2 2025 via its UK and US websites. For reference, the Win Max 2 2025 still remains orderable directly, albeit via Indiegogo.
As a result, GPD will likely require RMA units to be sent back to China, which is often expensive and time-consuming. By contrast, Droix offers RMAs into its UK and US warehouses. Moreover, Droix is known for its excellent customer service and warranty coverage.
These advantages result in higher prices though, also because Droix has already paid import fees from China. Currently, the Win Max 2 2025 starts at $1,077.95 incl. taxes or £1,215.95 with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U APU, 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage or $1,491.95 (£1,694.95) with the more powerful Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 64 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD.
Please note that the former also underpins the Win Max 2 2024 (curr. $1,364.95 on Amazon). The Win Max 2 2025 adds faster RAM and a second USB 4 port, though, as well as a nominally brighter display and improved cooling. Please see our Win Max 2 2025 launch article for more hardware changes between GPD's 2024 and 2025 models.
