We are fast approaching Christmas. While this time of year represents a break in sales for many companies, Epic Games will be running its Holiday Sale throughout the holiday season until January 9. Added to that, it is still giving away a new fee game daily, although a Redditor is consistently beating Epic Games to revealing its plans ahead of schedule.
To that end, u/MeguminShiro hinted that Wizard of Legend would be the storefront's next free game, which has now proven to be the case. As with TerraTech yesterday, Wizard of Legend will only be discounted to $0.00 for 24 hours. Specifically, the game will return to its $15.99 MSRP at 16:00 UTC on December 23.
Unfortunately, Epic Games has only decided to give away the Windows release of Wizard of Legend and not its macOS counterpart as well. By contrast, Steam is not only selling macOS and Windows versions of the game at a 70% discount for the time being, but also a version designed to be run on Linux. Regardless, Wizard of Legend has fared well with critics and fans since its release.
For instance, the rogue-like title has received a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam, along with 77/100 and 79/100 averages on Metacritic and OpenCritic, respectively. Described as a 'fast-paced dungeon crawler', Wizard of Legend offers the following features according to its deevelopers:
- Procedurally generated levels mean a new challenge every time
- Local multiplayer allows you to play with or against a friend
- Over 100 unique spells and items to fit your playstyle
- Full gamepad and controller support
- Fast-paced spell slinging combat
- Use powerful spell combinations to destroy your enemies
