A previous leak told us, AMD planned to change how it calls its GPUs starting with RDNA 4. The first digit would start with '9', followed by a '0' and the third would denote a SKU's place in the hierarchy. An X leaker @All_The_Watts has now revealed just about every RDNA 4 graphics card there is, including desktop and laptop models.
Desktop
- AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
- AMD Radeon RX 9070
- AMD Radeon RX 9060
- AMD Radeon RX 9050
- AMD Radeon RX 9040
Laptop
- AMD Radeon RX 9070M XT
- AMD Radeon RX 9070M
- AMD Radeon RX 9070S
- AMD Radeon RX 8060S
- AMD Radeon RX 8050S
- AMD Radeon RX 8040S
Then there are two particularly interesting models listed, too, namely: Radeon RX 7750 and RX 7650. Judging by their names, they're likely incremental upgrades to existing RDNA 4 cards tailor-made for budget PC builders. Additionally, another X leaker (@momomo_us) found evidence of the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 on a French retailer's website. @Kepler_L2_, another person adept at leaking AMD material, chimed in with the specs of each desktop SKU.
- AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT: Navi 48 GPU, 64 CUs, 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit bus, 64 MB total cache
- AMD Radeon RX 9070: Navi 48 GPU, 56 CUs, 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit bus, 64 MB total cache
- AMD Radeon RX 9060: Navi 48 GPU, 48 CUs, 12 GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 192-bit bus, 48 MB total cache
- AMD Radeon RX 9050: Navi 44 GPU, 32 CUs, 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 128-bit bus, 32 MB total cache
- AMD Radeon RX 9040: Navi 44 GPU, 28 CUs, 12 GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 96-bit bus, 24 MB total cache
@All_The_Watts, on the other hand, opines the RX 9070 will come with 12 GB VRAM, 48 CU Navi 48 GPU. For now, there seems to be some conflicting information and it's best to wait until more sources chime in. Finally, the SKUs with a Navi 48 GPU will cost between $449 (likely RX 9060) and $646 (likely RX 9070 XT). Similarly, the Navi 44 SKUs will range from $179 (RX 5040) to $349 (RX 9050).
Performance-wise, a previous leak said the Radeon RX 9070 XT (formerly known as Radeon RX 8800 XT, thanks, AMD) would sit somewhere between the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4080 Super. However, a mystery benchmark score (widely believed to be 3D Mark Time Spy), shows the card scores 22,894 in graphics and 16,310 in CPU, effectively putting it on par with a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
Of course, the above score is not indicative of its full performance due to unstable drivers. Still, these numbers indicate the Radeon RX 9070 may have a tough time bringing the fight to the GeForce RTX 4080 Super or even the last-gen Radeon RX 7900 XT. Then again, it shouldn't be long before we find out. CES 2025 is, after all, just a few days away.
