The Epic Games Store continues to only post a festive thumbnail in the Free Games section of its website as it presses through this year's Mystery Game free game promotional period. As a result, sources have been attempting to guess what the storefront has planned for its next giveaway.
Arguably, Redditor u/MeguminShiro has been more accurate than others, save for their initial suggestion that December 21's giveaway would be TerraTech Worlds, not TerraTech as is actually the case. This time, u/MeguminShiro has dropped a new cryptic hint about Epic Games' follow-up, which we have embedded below.
Currently, the game in question is expected to be Wizard of Legend, a rogue-like game that averages over 75% on both Metacritic and OpenCritic. Likewise, the game has received a Very Positive rating on Steam after roughly 16.5k reviews. Please note that while Wizard of Legend is not listed on the Epic Games Store at the time of publication, this does not preclude it from being free to download from tomorrow.
If that is the case, then it will be available from 16:00 for 24 hours. Additionally, it should be possible to pick up the game for macOS as well, not just Windows. Incidentally, Wizard of Legend is playable on Linux when purchased on Steam or iOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch via other marketplaces. As ever, Epic Games' giveaway will only be valid for macOS and Windows gamers.
