Asus has made no attempts to hide the fact that it has new laptops in the works. To that end, it revealed last week that it would be hosting two events next month at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. While the company did not provide specifics, it was evident that it had prepared a new batch of gaming laptops.
Since then, separate leaks have identified that Asus intends to release new versions of the ROG Strix 16 and ROG Strix Scar 18, along with an updated ROG Flow Z13 (curr. $1,599.99 on Amazon). Now, Asus has acknowledged much across its social media channels, including Weibo and X (formerly Twitter). As VideoCardz notes, the first of the two videos appears to show the ROG Flow Z13, which should utilise AMD Strix Halo APUs.
Based on recent leaks, the 13-inch convertible will be available with 12 and 16-core CPUs and a comparatively powerful Radeon 8060S iGPU. Meanwhile, the second video serves to showcase new Strix laptops, which are expected to line up with Intel's new Arrow Lake architecture and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series graphics. Incidentally, it seems that Asus will introduce new Vivobook and Zenbook laptops during CES 2025 between January 7 and January 10, too.
What if you didn't have to choose between portability and power?
