A well-known leaker outed two Lenovo laptops due to launch at CES 2025: ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 and Yoga Book 9i. The former came with a rollable display, while the latter looked like an incremental upgrade. Walking Cat, another X leaker, has now revealed a third model that could debut alongside them.
The unnamed Lenovo laptop, judging by the images, belongs to the Yoga lineup. Its most prominent feature, however, is a hidden webcam. Under normal usage scenarios, such as web browsing, it will seemingly blend into the screen. Additionally, there's a pill-shaped protrusion at the back, presumably to store all the camera hardware and possible IR sensor for Windows Hello.
While the tech isn't exactly new-it has been around on smartphones for a while-this is one of the first times a major laptop OEM has integrated it into their offerings. Plus, the quality of images captured by the webcam might not be optimal. Under-display camera solutions are notorious for their less-than-ideal performance. But it won't matter as long as it delivers a serviceable video conferencing experience, which is what it will be used for mostly anyway.
