Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 9 is a long-lasting multimedia notebook
Our review of the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 9 with a Core Ultra 7 155H and a 120 Hz IPS display revealed that the machine is pretty fast with performance that remains stable under use, two M.2 slots for storage upgrades, low operating temperatures, and good battery life. As a result, we gave the laptop a “very good” rating of 88%.
The IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 9 on sale is an even better machine than the one we reviewed, as the notebook features a better OLED display boasting infinite contrast, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 400 nits of brightness, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. There is also a dedicated RTX 3050 laptop GPU which, although not a beastly performer, will allow some light gaming and content creation. Additionally, the Ryzen 5 8645HS with its 6 cores performs similar to a Core Ultra 7 155H.
In other words, the IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 9 (16 AMD) should keep things speedy in routine use while also offering some gaming grunt.
Finally, you can also expect the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 9 (16 AMD) to have similar runtimes to our review unit which managed 12.5 hours in our WLAN test. So, the notebook should last all day when using it for productivity tasks like office work.
