Lenovo's Yoga 2-in-1 convertible laptops are known for their build quality, and a 2-in-1 laptop can provide a lot more versatility than a regular laptop without sacrificing as much as you would be with a regular tablet form factor. The Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is a solid mid-range productivity convertible laptop, and it's currently discounted to $649.99.
Lenovo Yoga 2-in-1 key specifications:
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 155U with Intel Arc graphics
- RAM: 16 GB LPDDR5X-7467 (non-upgradeable)
- Storage: 1 TB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD
- Ports: 1× HDMI 2.1, 2× USB 4, 2× USB 3.2 Gen 1 type-A, 1× Micro SD card slot, 1× 3.5 mm audio combo jack
- Wireless connectivity: Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3
As we noted in the review of the smaller 14-inch Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1, the biggest weakness of the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is its mediocre IPS display. While the 1,920 × 1,200 pixel resolution is acceptable for a 16-inch device, and the 300 nits of claimed screen brightness is also usable, the display is only 60 Hz, which might feel slow if you're used to a flagship smartphone or a gaming laptop. Lenovo also only claims 45% coverage of the NTSC colour space, which makes the Yoga 7i unsuitable for photo and video editing.
Lenovo hasn't skimped on quality-of-life features on the Yoga 7i, though, with the convertible packing both a fingerprint reader and an IR scanning 1080p webcam for Windows Hello login. It also has a white backlit keyboard, and the port selection is very generous for a 2-in-1 laptop.
The Lenovo Yoga 7i convertible is available for $649.99 ($400 off) from Best Buy.
If you're after something slightly different, the smaller Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 is discounted to $599.99 at Best Buy, and the AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS-powered HP Envy 2-in-1 is down to just $599.99.
