Epic Games Store: New free game giveaway worth $30 now available to claim, but only for 24 hours

After some speculation and a reliable leak pointing towards it, Dark and Darker (bundled with the Legendary Status DLC) has officially been revealed as Epic Games Store’s free game for December 23. Those who are into dungeon crawlers and roguelikes can claim this multiplayer hit for the next 24 hours, adding it to their library permanently at no cost.

Yesterday, we reported on the leak that hinted at Dark and Darker as the next giveaway title. The clues included the abbreviation “D.D. - L.S.” and emojis featuring swords, torches, and treasure bags, all of which aligned perfectly with the game’s themes of dungeon exploration, PvPvE combat, and treasure hunting. True to the leaker’s history of accurate predictions, the reveal confirms Dark and Darker - Legendary Status as a part of Epic’s ongoing Holiday Sale giveaways.

Developed by the South-Korean studio Ironmace, Dark and Darker delivers a pretty unique dungeon-crawling experience where players navigate dangerous environments filled with traps, monsters, and rival adventurers. Players can team up or go solo, where survival depends on strategy, skill, and a little luck.

While the base game is free-to-play, the players will get to explore expanded content through the Legendary Status DLC (which is practically the highlight of this giveaway). The DLC unlocks additional character slots, trading privileges, and access to exclusive high-level dungeons. 

This giveaway will only be available for 24 hours, so interested players should log in to their Epic Games account and claim Dark and Darker before the clock runs out. Please note that you'll have to add the base game to your account first in order to be able to claim the Legendary Status DLC.
