T-Keyboard S3 Pro: Modular mini keyboard comes with rotary control and mini screens

The T-Keyboard S3 Pro is a multifunctional macro keyboard from LilyGo that can be expanded and configured as desired. In doing so, the manufacturer is following its policy of launching products for more experienced users in that the products are strongly characterized by their configurability and modularity.

The T-Keyboard S3 Pro is available in two different variants. One is the host variant, which can connect to a PC, and the other is the slave variant. In contrast to the latter, the host variant does not have five keys, but four, plus a rotary control. Many keyboards lack such a rotary control, which can be very useful for image editing programs, for example. In such cases, a rotary control can be used to adjust brightness and saturation quickly and precisely. 

The modules are connected to each other via magnetic connectors and thus designed to be simple and reliable. According to LilyGo, up to six devices can be connected, although there are obviously certain limitations, such as in terms of the brightness of the RGB LEDs. The keycaps are a special feature, as these are equipped with screens that measure 0.85 inches diagonally and have a resolution of 128 x 128. A certain amount of configuration work is unavoidable for users, but LilyGo does provide sample code for this purpose.

The T-Keyboard S3 Pro is available for a price of $60, the slave keyboard for $50 - both directly from the manufacturer.
