The Xiaomi MK71 Pro is a compact keyboard with a 71-key layout, and although function keys are lacking, it does offer full-size arrow keys. The multimedia module is particularly interesting, housing a 1-inch display that displays the connection status, time, battery status and the RGB mode selected. Users can also choose a background image here.
To the right of the multimedia module is a metal rotary control that can be used to adjust the volume. The keyboard has ABS keycaps, which are available in either brown or gray, and special TTC switches with a 30-millimeter travel, whereby the switches are triggered after 22 millimeters. The switches can be replaced during operation. Fold-out feet allow the keyboard to be angled for better ergonomics.
The keyboard can be connected to the PC either via a USB cable, a USB dongle or Bluetooth. A connection to three Bluetooth devices at the same time is also possible, allowing users to switch seamlessly between paired devices. The 7,800 mAh battery is said to provide a runtime of 143 hours with RGB lighting deactivated or 71 hours with the lighting on. However, as the keycaps are not translucent, the RGB lighting is more of a decorative feature.
