The Pironman 5 Pro Max from SunFounder is a Raspberry Pi 5-powered tower PC with some significant upgrades over the non-Pro version. It includes a large 4.3-inch touchscreen, a built-in Raspberry Pi camera holder, and dual stereo speakers with a USB microphone.

The first Pironman 5 tower PC appeared around mid-2024 and supported a single NVMe SSD. A year later, in mid-2025, the Pironman 5-MAX was released with dual NVMe SSDs (with RAID support) and/or AI accelerator support. Later that year, the company also released the Pironman 5-Mini, which was just a cheaper and tinier alternative with fewer features and a simpler build process.

Now, they have released the Pironman 5 Pro Max, their "most advanced" tower PC with a big 4.3-inch touchscreen on the side that can be used as a Home Assistant dashboard, NAS status display, or to display diagnostic information, or you can just play games on it if you want to.

The multimedia system has been significantly improved with the addition of a camera mount on top of the case, which holds the official Raspberry Pi camera module V2 or the Raspberry Pi AI camera. Other than that, there is now a 3.5 mm audio jack and 3W stereo speakers on the back. The case also ships with a USB microphone dongle for mic support, but it sacrifices a USB 2.0 Type-A port on the Pi to do so.

The cooling and lighting system has also been improved; it now comes with three addressable RGB PWM fans and six WS2812B addressable RGB LEDs, both of which can be synchronized via software for color patterns and lighting effects.

Other features like the tower cooler with PWM-controlled RGB fans, 40-pin GPIO expansion header, IR LED, microSD card slot, dual full-size HDMI ports, Ethernet, dual USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a single USB 2.0 Type-A port, RTC battery, along with the 0.96-inch OLED display(system status monitor) with auto-sleep function and vibration wake-up, and the safe power button on the front side stay the same.

Pironman 5 Pro Max tower cooling system keeps Raspberry Pi 5 temperatures substantially lower than the official active cooler during stress testing.

In terms of performance, it’s still a Raspberry Pi 5-based system that can be used for local AI processing, as a Home Assistant hub, as a compact NAS, or for playing games, such as Portal and modern 2D titles, which can run with good overall frame rates. But don't expect much from the built-in 4.3-inch 800 × 480 display; you can still play games on it, but it won't be very vibrant or color-accurate. To run all this hardware, SunFounder now recommends the official 27W power supply to ensure stable operation. The PC features a dark anodized finish and measures 140.9 × 77.0 × 138.7 mm.

The Pironman 5 Pro Max is listed on the SunFounder store for $145 (excluding the Raspberry Pi) and is currently marked as coming soon. There are options to configure the PC by adding a Raspberry Pi 5, NVMe SSDs, an AI accelerator, a camera module, and basic accessories such as a power adapter, keyboard, or HDMI cable, or purchase the case on its own as a barebones setup.
