New Casio digital watches with leather straps on the way

Casio has listed two new Vintage watches on its international website. The LA680WEL-1 and the LA680WEL-8A2 join older LD860W models like the LA-680WA-1 (curr. $38.50 at Amazon Marketplace).

The Casio Vintage LA680WEL watches both feature a small digital display, with a light background and dark figures. On the screen, users can view the time in 12 or 24 hour formats, as well as the date and the day of the week. Features of this model include a 1/100th second stopwatch, a daily alarm and hourly time signals. Plus, an amber LED backlight ensures you can read the display at any time.

Casio’s LA680WEL has a silver-tone frame, bezel and casing. The watch measures 33.5 x 28.6 x 8.6 mm (~1.3 x 1.1 x 0.3 inches), and weighs 15 g (~0.5 oz). It is accompanied by an embossed leather strap, black for the LA680WEL-1 and gray for the LA680WEL-8A2. This is a water resistant watch, suitable for everyday use, and it should run for around five years on the CR1616 battery.

The product listing for the Casio LA680WEL-1 and LA680WEL-8A2 watches is marked as December 2025 releases. However, the company has yet to confirm the list of countries in which they will launch, with pricing for each market.
