Casio is about to release its new G-Shock GA-B010 digital watches in more European countries. Already available in the UK, this hybrid model offers step tracking functionality, alongside a range of other tools.
Three versions of this G-Shock watch are now listed at the Casio online store in countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. The GA-B010-1A (black, positive display) and the GA-B010-3A (khaki, positive display) will each retail for €169. While the exact release date of these products has yet to be announced, you can use the ‘sign up’ button on each product page to request an email notification at launch.
The Casio G-Shock GA-B010 is an analogue-digital watch with two hands set on a dial with a sunburst finish. This is surrounded by an inset bezel with a vapor deposition finish, a chunky resin casing and a matching strap. At the bottom of the watch face is a digital display, where you can view your step count. Plus, Bluetooth connectivity allows you to view a historical log of your daily steps in the Casio Watches app on your smartphone. Other app-related features include automatic time adjustments and a phone finder. On the watch, there are tools like a timer, a stopwatch and five daily alarms.
Casio’s G-Shock GA-B010 supports world time, with 38 time zones on offer. This new model is marketed as solely powered by solar energy. To help you read the watch at night, there are various glow-in-the-dark Neobrite elements and an LED backlight. Plus, it is waterproof up to 20 bar. It is unclear when these Casio G-Shock GA-B010 watches could be released in other markets, like North America.
