After months of scattered leaks and rumors, Casio has put a new Frogman model up for preorder in Japan, listed as the GW-8200TPF-1JR. It’s part of the Master of G Sea lineup and is scheduled for release in December 2025. This edition is quite flashy, thanks to its black-and-fluorescent green pattern, which is based on the Poison Dart frog found in the South American rainforest. The artwork and finish are themed around the frog’s coloring and uneven texture.
The watch carries the familiar ISO 200-meter diving rating found across the Frogman range, built for underwater use and run by Tough Solar power. The case and back plate combine titanium and biomass plastic, and the whole watch weighs 84 g. The size is 52 × 50.3 × 18 mm, so it should stay fairly large on the wrist, like other GW-8200 releases. A titanium screw-back seals the case, engraved with a frog illustration that matches the packaging artwork.
The neon striping on the strap and bezel isn’t printed flat - the surface is deliberately uneven to mimic the frog’s skin. The bezel text and digital display accents use the same green tone, giving the watch a look that’s very different from the standard black or rescue-orange 8200 models.
Inside, it includes a long list of expected features: tide graph, moon data, dive log memory, five alarms, stopwatch, countdown timer, world time for 48 cities, LED backlight, and full auto calendar. With normal use, Casio estimates around 14 months of power from a full charge, or up to 36 months in power-saving mode. Bluetooth pairing through the Casio Watches app enables settings adjustment and automatic time correction.
The GW-8200TPF-1JR is priced at ¥94,600 including tax (about $630 USD depending on exchange). For now, preorders appear limited to the G-Shock Japan online store, with no confirmation yet regarding international stock or release timing.
