The Casio AE-1700H watches have been officially confirmed for release in Europe. Rumors about this new model began earlier in 2025, and it has since been launched at the brand’s online store in the US.
Casio has listed the AE-1700H-1AV (black case/strap, black bezel, positive display), the AE-1700H-1A2V (black case/strap, red/blue bezel, positive display) and the AE-1700H-1BV (black case/strap, black bezel, negative display) on its websites in countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. Each version of the digital watch will retail for €49.90 in this market. While the company has yet to announce the exact release date of the AE-1700H series in the EU, prospective customers are invited to “sign up now” on the product page for a launch notification via email.
The AE-1700H watches have a resin casing, measuring 54.9 x 47.3 x 14.3 mm (~2.16 x 1.86 x 0.56 inches), and they come with a matching strap. The model features a rotating aluminum bezel that can act as a timer. Plus, it is water resistant to 10 ATM, and should run for around ten years on the CR2032 battery.
Casio’s AE-1700H supports dual time zones, with the option to turn daylight savings on or off. Other tools include a countdown timer, a stopwatch and a multi-function alarm. A rarer feature for a Casio watch is Fishing mode. This uses the moon’s phase and position to predict if there will be lots of fish activity at a particular time, for a better fishing experience. Plus, the model has an LED backlight, making it easier to read the screen in low lighting. Whether or when the Casio AE-1700H watches will be released in the UK remains to be seen.
