The JSAUX FlipGo has now been revealed in full via its new page on Kickstarter. The OEM has now disclosed that the new gadget is IPS regardless of size or touchscreen capability, and that each unit consists of dual 180° hinge-connected screens that are 60Hz and have 3:2 aspect-ratios across the board.
On the other hand, each FlipGo panel is also described as covering 100% of the sRGB color gamut and is either 2.2K with 400 nits of peak brightness and a 1500:1 contrast ratio or 2.5K/up to 500 nits/1200:1 in its 13.5- or 16-inch SKUs respectively. The dual monitor is also rated to be no more than 1.8 centimeters (cm, or 0.71-inches) thick and 1.6 kilograms (kg, or 3.53 pounds) in mass, despite incorporating some USB (but, sadly, not full-sized HDMI) ports on one side for extra I/O.
JSAUX has now also announced that the 13.5-inch FlipGo will be available as a Pro Edition in addition to the 2 SKUs mentioned earlier. They are the Standard Edition, which supports the monitor's DuoViews (or dual-monitor) Mode only, and as such is available at the cheapest possible super early bird price of $329, whereas the next tier up supports touch in 1 of its displays yet is still DuoViews only, and thus starts at $379.
The 13.5- and 16-inch Pro Editions, on the other hand, augments all the Standard Edition's specs with an UltraView mode that allows the user to stretch the content of 1 app or file across both screens.
It currently starts at $429, whereas the 16-inch Pro Edition does so for $549. The larger FlipGo is also still available as a Standard Edition with Touch Screen for an early-bird price of $479 at the time of writing.
Finally, JSAUX also now touts the FlipGo as a world-first "magnetic" dual-screen foldable monitor in that part of its rear panel can lock either a Flex Folio leather case/stand; an articulating, metallic Snap Stand or a Snap VESA adapter in place for support and/or protection.
However, it seems neither of these custom accessories come in the box or are available to order in any way as yet. Their production probably depends on the FlipGo's success as a crowdfunding project - which, as it has accrued well over $120,000 at the time of writing, may have a good chance of panning out after all.
