Lepow calls its latest portable monitor the DualViews, as it allows the user to connect not just one but two extra screens to a range of devices. They can be stacked vertically above a laptop for a particularly tall multi-tasking experience, or present information to others thanks to a convertible-like hinged build. Not only that, but one of the DualViews' screens is to have touchscreen functionality.

Update: The DualViews has now been unveiled in full, revealing for the first time that both of its "360°" screens are IPS. The innovative device comes in 2 sizes: 14 and 15.6 inches, both of which comes with FHD variants, with an additional 2K option for the larger size.

All 3 (the DualViews 14", 15" and 2K) have a standard and Pro version apiece, the latter of which has a touchscreen with stylus support as 1 of its 2 hinge-linked displays.

The Lepow DualViews starts at US$339 (or 43% off its retail price) during the Super Early Bird phase of its crowdfunding campaign, which is now underway on Indiegogo.

Original Article: Lepow has announced that it will put its latest portable monitor up for crowdfunding - probably due to its unique, early adopter-friendly design. The DualViews might remind many tech enthusiasts of the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, as it brings many of the same versatile use-cases to its category.

The DualViews is even touted as having its own "custom chip", although it is rated to deliver a "driver-free" plug-and-play experience (and also to control up-to-65W charging with USB-PD). For actual CPU functions, the accessory will of course turn to a connection with a fully-spec'd electronic device, just like any other portable monitor.

Unlike many of those devices, however, the DualViews is made of 2 separate, hinged displays. It is touted as light yet robust enough to be placed above a laptop for a potentially unique, productivity-boosting vertical stack of 2 extra displays above the PC's own screen.

Even when not mounted in this way, the doubled-up external monitor can still be handy in a tent mode for presentations. To that end, 1 of its displays is also a 10-point touchscreen for even more control and "flexibility" in these modes. There is even a 1024-level pressure response for some degree of stylus support.

Lepow has yet to reveal more specs (such as respective display resolutions or panel materials) for the DualViews. Hopefully, this information will be in evidence on its upcoming, to-be-determined launch on Indiegogo.
