Acer SpatialLabs View and View Pro are presented as portable monitors that bring 3D to 4K gaming and content-creation respectively
With the launch of the Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition, Acer has declared 3D content-consumption and production as an option more viable than ever during its GPC 2022 event. It has gone even further down this route by making the portable monitor SpatialLabs as well.
The brand's new View and View Pro have now been unveiled with 15.6-inch displays rated to deliver 3D stereoscopic imagery in 4K at up to 400 nits of brightness and 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut. However, the View is aimed more at home and/or gaming use, in conjunction with the new SpatialLabs TrueGame app, rated to confer a TrueGame 3D mode on for about 50 major compatible titles with a single click.
The View Pro, on the other hand, has been launched as the ideal vehicle for the SpatialLabs Model Viewer, in which the output of pro-grade apps such as Revit, Solidworks or Cinema 4D can be exported as an end-product. It can also support connections to a second, potentially 2D, monitor for more powerful editing as well as to a PC.
It also boasts a VESA mount in addition to the SpatialLabs View series' kickstand and relatively slim build, and is therefore perhaps more amenable to a commercial or public display environment. Acer has yet to reveal how a buyer could procure it or for how much, however, although the standard View model (or ASV15-1B) is to be released this summer with a recommended starting price of US$1,099.
