Acer Spin 3: 2022 refresh announced from US$849.99 in two colours with Thunderbolt 4 ports ↺
Acer has introduced the SP314-55/N, a new version of the Spin 3. As always, the Spin is a 2-in-1 laptop with a touchscreen display. While Acer has not provided specifics on the panel used, it has confirmed that the laptop will have a 14-inch and 1080p display. Also, the new Spin 3 supports Acer's Active Stylus, which it reports is dockable somehow.
Currently, Acer has only announced that the machine will feature Intel Alder Lake processors and no dedicated GPU options. For some reason, Acer has decided against revealing what processors it plans to use. Based on previous models, we suspect that Acer will have settled on 9 W or 15 W parts, such as the Core i5-1230U or the Core i5-1235U. Incidentally, the Spin 3 has an HDMI port, along with dual Thunderbolt 4 and USB Type-A ports.
Acer has confirmed that the Spin 3 (SP314-55/N) will be orderable from next month, starting at €999 in the Eurozone. Unfortunately, the company has not provided a specific release date, although it states that the laptop will be available this August in the US from US$849.99.
