Acer showcases the Aspire Vero 14 and Aspire Vero 15 with recycled plastic parts and OceanGlass trackpads
Acer has unveiled the Aspire Vero series, available as the AV14-51 and AV15-52 with 14-inch and 15-inch displays, respectively. According to Acer, both machines will ship with Windows 11 Home, along with Full HD IPS panels. Also, Acer states that the pair will be available with up to Core i7 Alder Lake processors; exact parts remain unknown at this stage. Incidentally, the AV14-51 and AV15-52 are both Intel Evo Platform Candidates.

Furthermore, Acer will offer both Aspire Vero models with up to 1 TB of PCIe M.2 storage, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and built-in fingerprint readers. Moreover, both machines have a 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) casing, 50% PCR keycaps and an 'OceanGlass' trackpad. In other words, the pair have trackpads built using ocean-retrieved plastic. However, Acer will only offer the AV14-51 with 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, while the AV15-52 features onboard RAM and up to 24 GB of LPDDR4 SO-DIMM.
Acer will begin selling the Aspire Vero AV14-51 and AV15-52 from August in China and the Eurozone, with the pair arriving a month later in the US. According to Acer, the pair will start at the following prices:
- Aspire Vero AV14-51: CNY 4,999/€899/US$749.99
- Aspire Vero AV15-52: CNY 4,999/€999/US$749.99
