Acer has unveiled the SF314-71, the latest version of the Swift 3. Referred to by Acer as the Swift 3 OLED, the Intel Evo verified machine comes with Intel Alder Lake-H series processors within a 17.9 mm and 1.4 kg chassis. As with many Intel Alder Lake-powered laptops, the Swift 3 OLED has LPDDR5 RAM and PCIe Gen4 SSDs, while Intel Evo certification ensures that it should last roughly 10 hours between charges.
So far, Acer has confirmed that the SF314-71 will be available with up to the Core i7-12650H, a 10-core processor with 16 threads, 24 MB of L3 cache and a 45 W TDP. For reference, the Core i7-12650H has 6 P-cores and 4 E-cores, plus Intel UHD Graphics with 64 Execution Units (EUs). Presumably, Acer will also offer the machine with the Core i5-12450H, an 8-core representative in the Alder Lake-H series.
Arguably a highlight of the SF314-71 is its 14-inch display, which has a 92% screen-to-body ratio and a 2,880 x 1,800 native resolution (2.8K). Also, the OLED panel offers a 90 Hz refresh rate, sub 1 ms response times and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Moreover, the display is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified.
The Swift 3 OLED (SF314-71) will be available from July in the Eurozone, as will the Spin 5 (SP514-51N). According to Acer, the Swift 3 OLED will start at €999 in the Eurozone and US$899.99 in the US. In comparison, the Swift 3 OLED (SF314-71) will be available later this month in China for CNY 4,999.
