Last week, Roland Quandt revealed renders of the Polar Pacer, a smartwatch that revived the Pacer brand. For context, Polar used to sell Pacer-branded wearables when it produced wrist-worn heart rate monitors. However, it has elected against using the Polar brand for its smartwatches until now.
Additionally, Quandt has leaked Polar Pacer Pro renders, also shown in four colours. It is difficult to determine what differences exist between the Pacer and Pacer Pro, though. For some reason, the pair have the same serial number and identifier, listed as 7004685302 and 13192400, respectively. Moreover, they seem to have the same sensors, charging pins and 50 metres of water resistance.
Potentially, the Pacer Pro could offer more expensive materials than the regular Pacer. Based on Quandt's renders, the Pacer Pro has a metal frame and buttons, unlike the Pacer. Also, the Pacer Pro may be thicker than its non-Pro sibling, potentially for a larger battery. Currently, Polar has not started teasing the Pacer or Pacer Pro, so we may be a while from being released.
