Acer has announced the Vero PD2325W, an energy-efficient projector that relies on post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. Specifically, Acer manufactures the projector's chassis with 50% PCR plastic, while its packaging benefits from 85% recycled paper. For reference, the Vero PD2325W measures 299.4 x 223.8 x 107.5 mm and weighs 2.6 kg with its feet included.
Moreover, the projector's LED light source should provide up to a 30,000-hour lifespan, during which it will deliver a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 2,200 ANSI Lumens and 1,380 ANSI Lumens in Eco mode. Natively, the projector outputs at 1,280 x 800 pixels, although it also supports 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. Incidentally, the projector covers 125% of the Rec. 709 colour space and has Auto Keystone Correction for amending vertical distortions.
Separately, the projector supports blue light filter adjustments to reduce exposure and 24/7 continuous use for museum exhibitions or public displays, plus an integrated 5 W speaker. So far, Acer has only confirmed that the Vero PD2325W projector will be available from Q3 2022, albeit with no specific release date. Acer adds that the projector will retail for CNY 3,799 in China, €549 in the Eurozone and US$559.99 in the US.
