The ConceptD 7 mobile workstation with Gen 11 Intel processors has been available for some time, but Acer is now introducing a special edition that integrates 3D stereoscopic display technology. The new SpatialLabs Edition features a high-performance solution that enables stereoscopic vision without the need for specialized eyewear.
The combination of eye tracking solutions via an advanced AI-powered camera system, stereoscopic 3D displays, and real-time rendering allows three-dimensional objects to appear floating and rotating 360° in front of the display. The 15.6-inch, 4K high-resolution display calibrated with PANTONE standards (100% ARGB coverage) makes it all come to life, which can be of great use for 3D animators, game developers, and CAD designers. Thanks to the SpatialLabs technology, the stereoscopic display can also apply 3D effects to 2D sources like movies and pictures.
Although the Gen 11 i7-11800H CPU could seem a bit dated, the ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition CN715-73G-SL76Z features an Nvidia RTX 3080 laptop GPU and up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM plus 2 TB of NVMe storage, all running on Windows 11 Pro. Port selection includes 4x video outputs via 2x Thunderbolt 4 connectors, DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 video outputs, plus an SD card reader and the usual Wi-Fi 6 and GbE links.
The battery is rated for 6 hours of operation, and the workstation itself has a 2.55 cm profile, with a 2.5 kg weight. Chassis only comes in white. This model is available now in the EU for €3,599, but U.S. residents will be able to purchase it soon, as well.
