CES 2024 | Asus TUF Gaming A15 launched with Ryzen 8000 processors and a 2.5K screen

The Asus TUF Gaming A15 joins the TUF Gaming A16 and TUF Gaming F16 line of budget gaming laptops. However, it has a few tricks up its sleeve that differentiate it from the stack. Asus has yet to reveal its price and availability. If priced right, it could easily dominate the mid-range segment.

The TUF Gaming A15 is the only one of the trio to feature an unspecified AMD Ryzen 8000 series Hawk Point processor. If last year's models are anything to go by, it could be the Ryzen 9 8945HS or Ryzen 7 8845HS. GPU choice remains fixed at a GeForce RTX 4070. The new Zen 4 chip also comes with a USB 4.0 Type-C port, which is rare in this segment.

Asus has also spruced up the TUF Gaming A15 with a 15-inch 2.5K (2,560 x 1,440) 16:10 screen that refreshes at 165 Hz. Such panels are usually found in higher-end, ROG-branded laptops, and it is good to see them trickle down. Other features include a 90 Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The Asus TUF Gaming A15 supports up to 32 GB of DDR5 5,200 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen4 SSD.
