MSI has previewed the MEG 321URX before its spring 2024 launch. While the MEG 321URX is another of MSI's QD-OLED monitors, it adds various AI features designed to improve in-game competitiveness thanks to an onboard AI processor.

Yesterday, MSI presented a slew of new gaming monitors at CES 2024. Introduced alongside various gaming laptops like the Raider GE78 HX 14V and Raider GE68 HX 14V, the monitors all utilise Samsung Display QD-OLED panels with fast refresh rates and high native resolutions. For reference, the gaming monitors in question are:

It turns out that MSI also brought a seventh monitor to Las Vegas that it decided against mentioning in any of its press materials. On top of that, MSI has not listed the MEG 321URX QD-OLED on its website either, unlike its other new QD-OLED gaming monitors. Instead, the MEG 321URX QD-OLED has been spotted by the likes of PC WorldTechSpotThe FPS Review and Tom's Hardware, which have explained the monitor's feature set instead.

Fundamentally, the MEG 321URX QD-OLED will offer the same viewing experience in most games as the MAG 321UPX QD-OLED or MPG 321URX QD-OLED. Thus, the MEG 321URX QD-OLED outputs natively at 4K with a 240 Hz refresh rate, 0.03 ms GtG response times and with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. However, MSI has tuned the MEG for League of Legends (LOL) with various AI-derived features.

On the one hand, the MEG 321URX QD-OLED includes AI SkySight, a tool that automatically detects and highlights enemy positions. On the other hand, the monitor offers Spectrum Bar, an on-screen health indicator that sits at the bottom of your screen. Additionally, MSI claims that gamers can use Gaming Intelligence to improve its AI models locally for their preferred games. Thus, it appears that AI SkySight and Spectrum Bar can be adapted for any game, provided you are willing to collect various data points. Unfortunately, launching pricing for the MEG 321URX QD-OLED remains unknown for now, although the monitor is slated to launch in spring 2024.
