Xiaomi releases new compact gaming tablet globally

Xiaomi has finally started selling its latest gaming-focused tablet globally. Teased over two months ago, the tablet was quietly added to the Black Shark website at the start of February. While the listing confirmed hardware specifications, it did not indicate when, where or for how much the Black Shark Gaming Tablet would be available.
Without warning, Xiaomi is now offering its new tablet through AliExpress on its official Black Shark store. To recap, the tablet leverages the same Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset found in other tablets like Xiaomi's Pad 7 Pro (curr. $474.50 on Amazon). However, the Black Shark Gaming Tablet is closer in size to the Xiaomi Pad Mini thanks to its 8.8-inch display that resolves at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels with a 144 Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, Xiaomi equips the Black Shark Gaming Tablet with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 flash storage and a 7,300 mAh battery that supports 20 W charging. Xiaomi includes a corresponding power adapter in the box too, as well as a protective case, a charging cable and an ejector tool for accessing its microSD card slot.
Currently the tablet ships worldwide, including the US. The Black Shark Gaming Tablet comes in a choice of black and silver colours, each with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Xiaomi prices the tablet at $670.97, including import charges and other taxes. Meanwhile, the same SKUs can be picked up in the UK for £558.59 and €635.69 in the Eurozone.
