Chuwi AuPad Mini: 8-inch tablet with 4G LTE and GPS costs just $88

The new Chuwi AuPad Mini is a more compact tablet that is already available in Europe for the equivalent of roughly $88, which means that this is a very budget-friendly tablet in the entry-level segment. As a result, there are plenty of compromises. Users should not expect high performance, but the slate could still be suitable for kids, for example for educational games. Parental controls are on board as well. An alternative could be the Lenovo Tab One, which is available on Amazon.
The new Chuwi tablet is powered by a Unisoc T615 with two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. The AuPad Mini only has 4GB RAM, even though it is advertised with 16GB RAM, 12GB of those are virtual. Either way, the internal storage has a capacity of 128GB, but it can be easily expanded with a microSD card. On a more positive note, the tablet sports 4G cellular connectivity and comes with a GPS module. At under 14 oz, the tablet is also pretty light and can be used as a navigation device, among other things.
The Chuwi AuPad Mini runs on Android 15 and is advertised with Widevine L1 certification. Meanwhile, the 8.7-inch display has a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels and a brightness of 350 nits. The rear camera offers 5MP, and there is a 2MP front camera. Chuwi further opted for a 5,500mAh battery that charges at up to 10 watts and can be fully charged in around 3 hours.
