Official: Xiaomi Pad 8 confirmed for imminent global release
Xiaomi's next international launch event is less than a week away. Scheduled for February 28, the event will sit between Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event and MWC 2026 in Barcelona.
Initially, Xiaomi only teased the introduction of the Xiaomi 17 series. Even then, the company decided against clarifying whether this also included the Leica Edition as well as the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
With five days to go, Xiaomi has now confirmed that the Pad 8 will be joining the Xiaomi 17 series. For the time being, the company has only outlined that the Pad 8 will be debuting internationally on February 28. However, past performance suggests that Xiaomi will replace the Pad 7 Pro later this week too (curr. $474 on Amazon).
By the looks of Xiaomi's event page, the global version of the Pad 8 will bring across all core features of its Chinese counterparts. For instance, the company has confirmed that the Pad 8 will be available globally with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and a 9,200 mAh battery with support for its Focus Pen Pro and Focus Keyboard accessories.
