Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max gets 13.3-inch 3.4K display and PC features

Xiaomi has now detailed how the Pad 9 Pro Max can be used with a computer, gaming handhelds and professional accessories.
The tablet has a 13.3-inch display with a 3.4K resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. Xiaomi claims up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness and a Delta E of around 0.47. The company also says the panel is suited to PC-level applications.
The tablet will use the Xring O3 processor. Xiaomi claims an AnTuTu V11 score of 5.25 million and says its multi-core CPU and GPU performance is comparable to tablets using Apple's M5 processor.
A full-featured USB Type-C connection lets the tablet connect directly to a computer. It can work as a secondary display, allowing users to work with PC documents while viewing content on the tablet.
The same connection can be used with gaming handhelds. Xiaomi says the Pad 9 Pro Max supports DP 1.2 or higher, allowing a handheld to use the tablet as a larger gaming display.
The tablet supports the Focus Stylus Pro and TourBox. Xiaomi says the two accessories can be used simultaneously, with the stylus and TourBox allowing two-handed operation.
The Pad 9 Pro Max will run HyperOS 4 with several changes to file and document handling. The file system can track file sources, while the document reader supports handwritten annotations, special font imports and advanced printing.
The browser gets a more PC-like interface with web translation, third-party AI plugins, vertical tabs and tab grouping. Xiaomi says it has adapted the browser for the top 500 most frequently visited websites.
Xiaomi Notes can create mind maps with one click and supports voice shorthand, along with audio and image imports. Multitasking supports two, three or six apps at once, depending on the selected split-screen layout.
The Pad 9 Pro Max will also use LPDDR6 memory. Xiaomi says it provides a 48% increase in memory bandwidth. Xiaomi has shown the tablet in a Rich Wine Red finish with a metal unibody design. A matching floating keyboard is also available.
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max will launch on September 7 at 7 PM Beijing time (11 AM UTC). Xiaomi has not yet announced pricing or international availability.
