Xiaomi Pad 9 leak points to global release plans and launch window

The Xiaomi Pad 8 series launched globally in February 2026 as a flagship tablet lineup, including two models: the standard Xiaomi Pad 8 and the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro. Now, early details about the next-generation Xiaomi Pad 9 series have leaked.
The leaked HyperOS codebase (via XimiTime) suggests that the Xiaomi Pad 9 series may also include two models. The standard Xiaomi Pad 9 may have the codename "donghai," while the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro may use "shuntian" as its codename.
Findings from tipster @kacskrz on X suggest that the Xiaomi Pad 9 may have the following model numbers: "M656BA", "26103RP65G", and "26103RP65I". The suffix "G" in the leaked model number "26103RP65G" suggests that the Xiaomi Pad 9 may launch in the global market, while the "2610" prefix points to a potential October 2026 launch window.
The leak also suggests that the Xiaomi Pad 9 may feature a 9,720mAh battery, up from a 9,200mAh battery on its predecessor (Xiaomi Pad 8 curr. $379.50 on Amazon).
Both models are said to feature Snapdragon processors. The standard model is expected to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, while the Pro model may use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. At the time of writing, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any details regarding the new tablets.
