Lenovo quietly launches new tablet with big JBL speaker and 120Hz display

Lenovo has silently introduced the Tab Plus Gen 2 through iF Design earlier in 2026, and now, the company has quietly put it up for sale in different regions. In the EU, for example, this 12.1-inch tablet with a large JBL speaker starts at €429.01.
That's the price tag for the configuration with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1. There's another option available, which comes with the same amount of memory but with 256GB of storage. In the European store, it costs €479.01.
These listings have also confirmed additional specs of this media-focused Lenovo tablet. The company has revealed that it's powered by the Dimensity 7400, a mid-range MediaTek SoC from 2025.
On the front, the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 features a 12.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560x1500 pixels and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The back has an interesting addition, which is likely why the tablet got an iF Design award. It features a 9-unit speaker system that's from JBL.
This speaker setup has Dolby Atmos optimization and is surrounded by a ring-shaped stand that allows users to make the tablet stand in the landscape or vertical position. Lenovo has even positioned the volume rockers on the back, making the tablet look more like a dedicated audio device from the rear.
The back also features a single camera, which is a 13MP sensor, while the front features an 8MP selfie shooter. A 10,200mAh battery powers the internals of the Tab Plus Gen 2, and it has 45W fast charging support. WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, SD card slot, and Android 16 out of the box are among the other highlights of the tablet.
