Lenovo's all-purpose tablet is a compelling choice for students thanks to its stylus support

Thanks to its extensive feature set, the ThinkTab X11 offers a wide range of use cases. With the Lenovo Tab Pen XE, the Android tablet is also an attractive choice for school or college. Anyone using the ThinkTab X11 with prices currently starting at around $500, can round out the experience with the stylus and a rugged protective case. Also students aren’t reliant on a Wi-Fi network. instead, thanks to nano-SIM and eSIM support, they can access the internet on the go with the Lenovo tablet.
Android tablet with a waterproof stylus for taking notes
The Tab Pen XE features a design reminiscent of the iconic red TrackPoint on the keyboard of the ThinkPads. The red cap can also be unscrewed to replace the battery inside. The ThinkTab X11 stylus does not have a built-in rechargeable battery that can be charged inductively via the tablet.
The Tab Pen XE can be used for notes even in the rain or in dusty environments, as its case is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. The cap also features an eyelet for a wrist strap to prevent loss when outdoors.
In our review, we also used the ThinkTab X11 for handwritten notes. This works without any issues on the 10.95-inch LCD display, though other tablets offer slightly more precise input. With fast movements, clearly visible digitizer lag is noticeable with the Tab Pen XE. The Lenovo pen also lacks function keys.
A durable tablet with extra-long battery life for everyday college life and use on the go
Even aside from its stylus support, the ThinkTab X11 is an appealing choice for students, thanks to its extensive features and extra-long battery life, which make everyday learning easier. This is especially true since, thanks to its IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certifications, the Lenovo tablet can take a beating and will survive the occasional drop.
