Chuwi AuBox X1: Copilot+ mini PC sports 97 TOPS and USB PD power adapter

We have already reported several times about the Chinese manufacturer Chuwi, which is selling a broad range of devices. With the AuBox X1, the company has now introduced a new mini PC that is promoted as a Copilot+ PC and is therefore suitable for local AI applications.
This desktop computer is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V with an AI performance of 97 TOPS, of which 40 TOPS come from the NPU. In practice, the 16GB LPDDR5X RAM could be a limiting factor as the memory is soldered and non-upgradable. The 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD can be expanded or replaced, thanks to two M.2 2280 slots. One supports PCIe 5.0 with 4 lanes and the other is connected via PCIe 4.0 with 2 lanes.
OCuLink is not supported. Aside from that, the mini PC offers a solid selection of ports. There is USB4 with up to 40 Gbps, plus USB 3.2 Gen 2, 4x USB 3.2 Gen 1 and another USB 2.0. Video output via USB4 supports 4K resolution and 144Hz, but the AuBox X1 also comes with DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Users do not need a traditional barrel plug, as power is supplied via USB PD with a 100W adapter.
WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are supported, while wired networks can be accessed via 2.5 GbE. Last but not least, this new mini PC measures around 5 x 5 x 1.6 inches, supports VESA mounts and is expected to launch in late March for prices between $600 and $700.
