Galaxy Tab Active6: Samsung’s rugged tablet leak reveals 5G support and launch window

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 was released in January 2024 as a rugged Android tablet. Now, a new report from SamMobile suggests that Samsung is working on its successor.
According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active6 will be released in early 2027. The tablet will reportedly offer cellular connectivity, including 5G support. For international markets, the 5G variant is said to carry the model number "SM-X316B."
The specifications, design, and other details remain a mystery for now. Since Samsung's Active lineup is aimed at business and industrial users, the next-generation model is likely to retain a rugged design.
For context, the Galaxy Tab Active5 (curr. $489 on Amazon) featured an 8-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The tablet was powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset. It featured a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
Additional highlights of the Tab Active 5 included IP68 water and dust resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification, and a removable battery. Notably, Samsung also offers the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro, which has a larger screen and a more powerful chipset. However, there is currently no word on its successor.
