Samsung Pro Keyboard turns Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra into laptop, but is extremely expensive

After the Samsung Pro Keyboard for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra was launched in Korea in mid-March, the keyboard is now also available from Samsung US and Samsung Germany. However, with a list price of $399.99 in the US, or €389.90 in Europe, the keyboard is extremely expensive.
However, if you buy the keyboard from independent retailers, you can save a lot of money, as the Pro Keyboard can be found from $349 on Amazon US, or from €239 in Europe. The Samsung Pro Keyboard not only has the high price in common with Apple's Magic Keyboard, but also the very high weight. The keyboard weighs 0.64 kg (1.4 lbs), and in combination with the tablet it weighs 1.33 kg (2.93 lbs). This combination is therefore heavier than many 14-inch laptops
Samsung wants to justify the high price and weight with a particularly high-quality finish, as the keyboard casing is largely made of aluminum and the hinge is designed to keep the tablet stable so that the touchscreen can be used without any problems. The connection is made via the metal pins on the back of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, so the keyboard does not need to be charged or paired via Bluetooth.
The tablet and keyboard can be folded up like a laptop. In conjunction with DeX, Samsung's desktop mode for Android, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is intended to be a useful laptop replacement. The keyboard has a dedicated AI key and three function keys, each of which can open an app that can be selected by the user.
