Slimbook Creative Linux laptop packs RTX 5070, Thunderbolt 4 and 99 Wh battery into 1.9 kg chassis

With the Slimbook Creative 15, the Spanish laptop manufacturer presents a Linux notebook that is primarily aimed at users of creative apps with high performance requirements, but is also suitable for Linux gaming enthusiasts. The notebook relies on an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 with ten cores, 20 threads and boost clock rates of up to 5.0 GHz.
It also comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 8 GB GDDR7 graphics memory and a power dissipation of 115 watts including 45 watts Dynamic Boost. With five copper heatpipes and two fans, high performance should also be achieved under continuous load. Slimbook installs a 15.3-inch IPS panel in 16:10 format as standard, which achieves a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, a frame rate of 180 Hz and a brightness of 400 nits.
In combination with the keyboard with RGB lighting, the Slimbook Creative 15 is useable as a gaming laptop. The notebook can be ordered with numerous Linux distributions, but is also available with Windows 11 or with both operating systems in a dual-boot configuration for an additional charge. The Slimbook Creative 15 has a 99 Wh battery including a 240 watt charger and a wide range of connections, including two HDMI 2.1 ports, Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gbit/s), Mini DisplayPort 2.1a, three USB-A ports and Gigabit Ethernet.
Prices and availability
The Slimbook Creative 15 (2026) is now available at the manufacturer's online store. A model with AMD Ryzen AI 9 365, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU, 16 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD costs €1,699 ($1,960). Slimbook also ships to the US for a fee of €50 ($60).
