Samsung's compact flagship tablet offers the best hardware, long updates, and, of course, the new S Pen. Read our review of the Android tablet to find out whether we are bowled over by the Galaxy Tab S11 and its 11-inch OLED screen. Interestingly, the Samsung tablet definitely has one thing that puts it ahead of its Chinese competitors.

If you’ve been waiting for Samsung to bring back a premium 11-inch tablet with a great screen, an S Pen, IP68, and microSD — this is it. The Tab S11 seems to nail the fundamentals and then layers on genuinely useful software like DeX Extended Mode. The iPad Pro M4 Tandem OLED panels are fantastic, the M4 chip is a monster, and the accessory ecosystem — new Magic Keyboard with function row, Apple Pencil Pro with squeeze and gyro — work well. But you have to pay $100 more, and you lose things like the microSD expandable storage. If you live in Final Cut or Logic and want those exact apps, you know where you’re going. If you want a capable, flexible Android tablet that travels light, plays to Samsung’s strengths, and won’t make you pay extra for the stylus, the Tab S11 makes a very strong case.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 may be the less flashy, smaller of the two new Samsung tablets, but it's arguably the perfect size for digital nomads and on-the-go remote workers. It weighs just one pound, and measures about 0.22-inches (5.5mm) thick. There's an 11-inch Samsung AMOLED 120Hz display, and it's powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus. The Galaxy Tab S11 retails in Hong Kong for HK$6,288, and in the US at $800. It comes with the S-Pen Stylus, though the keyboard is a separate purchase.

The differences between the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra mainly boil down to the size. The bigger Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra comes equipped with a laptop-like 14.6-inch display and a bigger battery. This model also has а slightly faster Dimensity 9400+ silicon. There's also a 16GB/1TB memory option, but that pretty much concludes the differences. The vanilla Galaxy Tab S11 comes in a smaller package and weighs less. The battery is smaller, but this comes from the size. If you don't need the huge screen estate of the Ultra, and you like to travel light, the Tab S11 might be the better choice. Stay tuned for a final verdict soon.

While the Tab S11 line still comes in two sizes, Samsung kept the jumbo 14.6-inch Ultra but dropped the 12.4-inch Plus in favor of a smaller, more affordable 11-inch model. CNET Editor David Carnoy likes that move and gives you the full skinny on both new Android tablets after getting some hands-on time with them at a launch event in New York.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series, made up of a compact base model and a huge Ultra model, has had its productivity powers enhanced with a new chipset and big changes to DeX mode. There's a new S Pen too, which for better or worse resembles the Apple Pencil. Pending further testing, these could be the two new kings of Android tablets.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 looks to be a more compact version of the Tab S11 Ultra with no real compromise. You get the same top-end screen tech, processing power and software – just in a more compact, transportable form factor. There are questions about performance compared to the competition that need to be answered, but Samsung could have a winner on its hands with its premium small-screen entry. That said, I’ll need to spend much more time testing and using the Tab S11 before I can deliver my final verdict, so head back very soon.

You will have noticed that there’s no Tab S11 Plus this year and that’s a shame because it provided a direct rival for Apple’s 13in iPad Pro tablet. With that gone, the iPad Pro’s closest rival, certainly among Samsung Tablets, is the rather large Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which is considerably less wieldy. Still, given that it is slated to cost the same as the iPad Pro at £1,199 you could argue that you’re getting rather more tablet for your money. That’s especially true as Samsung continues to include its S Pen stylus in the box and, rather generously, is also throwing in a keyboard case for free for all customers who order one before the 28th of October. Either way, we’ll be testing both new tablets and reviewing them in full just as soon as we can get our hands on review samples so please be sure to check back in the next few weeks as we deliver our final verdict.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 5G is a super-slim high-end tablet with a huge display, powerful performance, and versatile features. Whether for work, creativity or entertainment, it aims to set new standards. We tested whether it can truly live up to these high expectations.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra continues to offer a first-class tablet experience, mired only by the fact that it's probably too large for many owners – and too expensive. Considering that you can buy a Galaxy Book for less (with a larger display), you might pause and ask yourself exactly what you're buying an Ultra tablet for. From a content consumption perspective, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is fantastic: it's hard to fault this 14.6-inch display, which is the clear reason for purchase. As a laptop replacement, however, the Ultra struggles for the same reasons all tablets do – it can't run all the apps that a laptop can. But, with DeX connectivity, it's still a strong alternative. Overall, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is delightful to use. In the same breath, its main appeal – its sheer size – is the reason it can become impractical. I love the big-screen entertainment factor, but think a keyboard and case are a necessity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra establishes a new benchmark for premium Android tablets with its expansive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Following this, the display offers a 120Hz refresh rate for silky smooth interactions, exceptional HDR10+ clarity, and a remarkable peak brightness of 1600 nits for perfect visibility in any lighting. It features a slim 5.1mm aluminum body that is both IP68 rated for dust and water resistance and constructed from enhanced Armor aluminum. Furthermore, it makes the device incredibly durable and lightweight for its size. As far as hardware configuration is concerned, the Tab S11 Ultra is a performance powerhouse. It is driven by the cutting-edge 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. This octa-core processor can easily go up to 1×3.63GHz clocking speed.

Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra after a week of testing, including this 15-inch tablet's gaming skills, battery life and beyond. The Samsung Tab S11 Ultra is one of the best (but also most expensive) Android tablets of 2025. So is it an iPad Pro beater? Well, whether you're a gamer, movie fan, mobile worker or just proper rich and fancy something lighter than a laptop, there's loads to love here. Mediatek's Dimensity 9400 Plus powers the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, ideal for gaming. Wuthering Waves plays with a silky smooth frame rate, with thankfully little heat build-up despite the slim design. Unlike the iPad Pro, you've got seriously impressive multi-tasking abilities including a dedicated desktop mode and DeX support.

At $1,199, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is not a cheap device. You have a lot of cheaper options in the tablet realm, but what you don't have is a lot of 14.6-inch competitors. The last-generation model offers a very similar experience, so if you already have the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, there's no reason to upgrade. On the other hand, if you're looking for a big-screen tablet to boost your productivity or you want to enjoy an immersive multimedia experience, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a great candidate for both roles.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra appears to be a minor – yet meaningful – update to Samsung’s top-end tablet, addressing a few long-standing complaints about the Ultra models while also making it thinner and more powerful. It’s not going to be the most portable tablet around, but for those who want something more akin to a laptop replacement – especially when paired with the keyboard – it could be a great option.

At the Galaxy Unpacked event today, Samsung showed off its latest Galaxy S25 FE smartphone and two new premium Galaxy Tab 11 tablets. Along with the usual hardware upgrades, these new devices are predictably geared for AI, with Samsung focusing on the Galaxy AI experiences available on them. For example, one can use the phone camera with the preloaded Gemini Live AI assistant or easily perform a generative AI edit of a photo. Indeed, the upgrades are minor on the latest Galaxy S25 FE, which remains more affordable than the flagship Galaxy S25 phones. It has a similar 6.7-inch 120Hz display as the previous Galaxy S24 FE, though the bezels are slimmer. But minor nitpick here: The bezels are not uniform, with the bottom one looking just a tad thicker.
