Samsung lets Hyundai and Kia owners control their smart homes from their cars

Samsung has announced a new feature in collaboration with its fellow Korean company, the Hyundai Motor Group. The new feature, which is called Car-to-Home service, will allow owners of Hyundai and Kia vehicles to control their smart home appliances from their car.
The launch of the new feature follows the release of the Home-to-Car service in September 2025 which allows users to control their car using the SmartThings app. The new feature allows drivers to remotely control their appliances such as lights, air conditioners, air purifiers, and robot vacuums that are connected to Samsung's home automation SmartThings platform.
According to the official press release, all owners of a supported vehicle have to do is link their SmartThings account to the Hyundai Blulink or Kia Connect services in their vehicle by scanning the QR code in the SmartThings app installed in the car.
Samsung says the feature is available in Hyundai and Kia vehicles equipped with the ccNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit) platform. Interestingly, Hyundai already announced that it will move from the ccNC platform to Android Automotive starting this year.
The press release also revealed that users will be able to create a smart routine that can be automatically executed once they are within a certain location such as turning on the lights and air conditioner once the user is returning home. There's also an “Away Mode” that can be programmed to turn off certain appliances once the vehicle leaves the house.
