MSI demonstrates a 'run over test' on the MS-C808 charger
The flexible MS-C808 charger integrates multiple layers of safety features alongside a thick rugged chassis tough enough to be run over by a truck.

Known mostly for its lineup of PCs, laptops, and accessories, MSI has been steadily expanding into the home EV charging sector to diversify its portfolio. The MSI EZgo MS-C808, announced just last year in 2025, is now finally shipping to customers starting at just under $350. The charger distinguishes itself from competitors with its ultra-portable design and detachable cords for increased compatibility.

As shown by the stats and images below, the UL Certified EVgo station is one of the smallest charging solutions from MSI to contrast the Eco series, EV series, and the enthusiast-level Hyper 80 or 180 series. It supports charging of up to 9.6 kW which, while not the fastest level 2 charger, should be sufficient for the vast majority of EV owners looking for a discreet overnight charging solution fit for tighter garages.

The detachable power cable can be swapped between the NEMA 5-15 or NEMA 14-50 for level 1 or level 2 charging, respectively, while the other end is a 25 ft charging cable for the older Type 1 or newer NACS standard. The small and simple 1.8-inch screen lacks color as the manufacturer is encouraging owners to install the aConnect smartphone app instead for finer real-time control.

The EZgo MS-C808 is now shipping in the US for $350 in either matte white or titan grey color options.
