MSI's new high-end 32-inch QD-OLED monitor features 4K 240 Hz tandem panel and full-bandwidth DisplayPort 2.1

MSI's new MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 gaming monitor just got announced, and its product page is officially live. This 31.5-inch display uses a specialized tandem panel structure, and comes with high-bandwidth capabilities, thanks to DisplayPort 2.1.
The monitor features a 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, alongside a 0.03ms GtG response time. Key connectivity includes a DisplayPort 2.1 port with UHBR20 support for 80 Gbps bandwidth, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB-C port with 98 W Power Delivery. It is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and ClearMR 13000 certified, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space with a peak brightness of 1000 nits.
Panel-wise, the X24 model is equipped with a 4th-generation tandem QD-OLED panel by Samsung built on EL Gen 3 tech. This 5-layer setup claims to increase light efficiency by 30% while cutting down on power consumption. Protection is handled by "DarkArmor" film - MSI states that it increases scratch resistance by 2.5 times and deepens blacks by 40% - and an NPU-powered AI Care Sensor that dims the screen when no human presence is detected to prevent burn-in. It automates pixel protection based on "real-time environmental awareness".
Because of the full-bandwidth DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), the monitor will be able to run 4K at 240 Hz natively without Display Stream Compression (DSC). Users with newer GPUs (like the Asus TUF GeForce RTX 5070 12GB, curr. $762 on Amazon) should particularly see a major difference.
Considering you're planning to build a future-proof setup - MPG 322UR has a pretty comprehensive feature set on a 32-inch panel. While official pricing is typically near $1,300 for this tier (MSI's website doesn't mention pricing yet), the 98 W PD and KVM switch make it as viable for a high-end workstation as it is for a dedicated gaming rig. It should be available to buy soon enough.
