Oneisall Ease S1 auto litterbox review: Looks as good as it performs
Goes above and beyond the call of duty.
The Oneisall Ease S1 takes a decisively stylistic and functional approach to tackle one, if not the worst, challenge of cat ownership. With easy setup, clever mechanics, and a system that is easy to clean, the Ease S1 makes quick work of cat box maintenance, and it does it in style.Stephen Pereyra Published 🇳🇱 🇫🇷 ...
Verdict: Top tier performance with a couple of quirks
When it comes to self-cleaning devices like the Oneisall Ease S1, one of the best metrics of performance is how easily it integrates into one's lifestyle, and in this case, it happened almost instantly. With a simple setup, no tedious "smart" features, and super-quiet performance, the Oneisall Ease S1 quietly faded into the background while offering significant peace of mind that the kitties had a clean place to do their business. While the unit did get stuck a couple of times over the month of testing, the Ease S1 maintained a clean litter box 99% of the time.

Unboxing
The Ease S1 arrives neatly packaged, with everything snapping together easily; no screws or tools are needed for setup, which was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, the Ease S1 came with a litter-trapping mat that works well and is easy to clean. Another nice feature was that the waste tray could be installed from either side, which made positioning the box that much easier. The waste tray also came with a good number of disposable bags. However, because the bags are a specific size, it will be interesting to find replacements, as they are currently unavailable on the Oneisall site.
Performance
One of the standout engineering choices here is the box's slight tilt. In most auto-boxes, the upper unit is enclosed and rotates to remove the waste. With experience with this style of box, the waste tends to smear onto the unit walls and pool in the rear corners, creating an odor-trapping sludge. The Ease S1's tilt keeps things moving toward the center and effectively prevents residue from sticking to the back, while not transporting the waste more than it has to. Additionally, the cats seemed to prefer the open design and quickly adapted to using the Ease S1.
Oneisall's marketing emphasizes ease of cleaning, and in testing, this claim proved accurate. The modularity of the components, especially the stainless-steel sifting screen, makes this unit immensely easier to maintain than any rotating dome box I've tested. However, the frequency of cleaning is ultimately dictated by your cat count. In a three-cat household, the maintenance window narrows quickly, and users with a good number of fur babies will not be going 30 days without a deep clean, but when that time comes, the process is minimal.
It is also clear that safety is a priority here, and while that is great, the sensor array, consisting of 9 motion and 3 radar sensors, is incredibly sensitive. It's reassuring to know the cleaning cycle stops in 0.3 seconds if a cat approaches; still, the box should be placed in a low-traffic area to ensure the cycle can complete without too much interference. Also, there were a few instances in which the bag itself triggered the full-waste-bin sensor. However, it was quickly fixed by simply pushing the bag down.
Conclusion
The Ease S1 is for the owner who wants solid performance without the headache of a smart app complicating things. The Ease S1 is a well-built unit that prioritizes the cat's comfort and the owner's time. Just be prepared to find it in a quiet corner and give it a quick power cycle if it hits a mechanical snag.
