Oppo Pad Mini: New compact OLED tablet rears its head before release

Oppo has finally confirmed the launch date for its Find X9 Ultra smartphone. For context, Vivo has just released the comparable X300 Ultra in China alongside the X300s smartphone and Pad6 Pro tablet. Not to be left behind, Oppo has also revealed that it has a new high-end tablet in the works, too.
Specifically, executive Qiao Jiadong has shared a short clip of the Oppo Pad Mini on Chinese social media. Reproduced below, the tablet has a relatively simple design with a flat back panel, flat edges and a single rear-facing camera. Unfortunately, Qiao Jiadong has not shared any hardware specifications yet.
Instead, he also provided the briefest glimpse of the Pad Mini's display. Currently, this is rumoured to be an 8.8-inch OLED panel. In that sense, the Oppo Pad Mini should rival the Xiaomi Pad Mini and RedMagic Astra, as well as the new Legion Tab Gen 5 and the iPad mini (curr. $474 on Amazon). Moreover, the Oppo Pad Mini should launch on April 21 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset complemented by up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
