New Onyx Boox alternative receives US release with note-taking functionality

PocketBook has finally released its latest InkPad tablet in the US. Debuting last month across Europe, InkPad One rivals recent Onyx Boox releases like the Go 10.3 (curr. $409.99 on Amazon) thanks to a 10.3-inch display. Likewise, the InkPad One supports note-taking functionality.
It is worth noting that the InkPad One runs on the relatively old Rockchip RK3566 chipset, though. For reference, PocketBook combines this quad-core chipset with 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a 3,700 mAh battery. Also, its E Ink Mobius display provides a 226 PPI pixel density (1,404 x 1,872), which is much lower than the 300 PPI found in the Go 10.3 and other alternatives.
The InkPad One runs Linux rather than Android too, and lacks MicroSD card expansion. Still, the E Ink tablet supports DRM-free documents and those encoded with Adobe DRM. Also, the InkPad One is a fair bit cheaper than the Go 10.3 at $359 with PocketBook's Stylus 2 accessory included. Please see PocketBook's Amazon listing for more details.
