When Samsung launches a relatively inexpensive tablet that also offers 5G and plenty of computing power, it's safe to assume that it will be a bestseller.
Following a detailed review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ 5G, we can indeed confirm that the tablet has many advantages. And all this at a price well below $300.
We have now just added the runtime tests, which were not ready in time for the review publication due to the long runtime. So let's take a closer look at whether the Galaxy Tab A11+ can impress not only in terms of performance but also in terms of stamina.
Facts about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ battery
The Samsung tablet features a 7,040 mAh battery that can be charged at a maximum of 25 watts. A charger is not included with the tablet, but we have a variety of chargers in our test lab, and the Galaxy Tab A11+ works flawlessly with all of them.
A full charge from 0 to 100% takes exactly 2 hours and 32 minutes with a Ugreen 65-watt charger. This is a respectable time, especially since the battery indicator shows just under 50% after only one hour.
Runtimes in our practical WLAN tests
The energy consumption of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ 5G was slightly higher than that of similarly priced devices from other manufacturers.
In our practical Wi-Fi test, in which a script calls up a different website every few seconds, the test device lasted exactly 14:54 hours, which is actually a few minutes less than, for example, the Huawei MatePad SE 11 or its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+.
In practice, however, users are unlikely to notice the difference. Even with our current test device, you can spend a leisurely day on the couch without having to recharge.
Over 4 hours of gaming
You can bridge long commuting times with mobile games; the Galaxy Tab A11+ lasted 4 hours and 26 minutes in our practical test. Given the many public charging options on modern public transport, that should be more than enough.
Verdict
If you leave the Galaxy Tab A11+ switched on or read e-books, it will last for over 36 hours. Together with the previous tests, this results in a practical battery life for the vast majority of everyday situations.
While this tablet doesn't have the largest battery nor the longest battery life, it offers above-average performance for its price range and many other advantages, which we have compiled in our review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+.
