Whether camera quality can be measured in points remains controversial. DxOMark, however, has been doing so for years and, similar to our ranking of the best smartphone cameras, offers a constantly evolving list of top smartphone cameras. Just recently, the Oppo Find X9 Pro overtook the Honor Magic8 Pro, moving from sixth to seventh place. Looking at the point scores, Oppo and Honor appear to be quite close this year.
What is particularly striking about the point distribution in both cases is that neither of the current camera flagships scored any new top scores in any category. This contrasts sharply with the Vivo X300 Pro, which recently secured second place in the DxoMark test, setting new standards in bokeh, telephoto, zoom and low-light performance. The Oppo Find X9 Pro, on the other hand, ranks quite high in all areas but lacks any truly outstanding features, at least according to the test results from our colleagues in France.
Pros and cons of the Hasselblad camera in the Oppo Find X9 Pro
Specifically, the testers praise the generally very good exposure, dynamics and color balance of the Oppo Find X9 Pro with neutral white balance and accurate skin tones, as well as effective video stabilization, even during active movement. Videos and photos also offer a wealth of detail. Criticisms include the slower autofocus compared to competitors and increased noise in videos, even in bright light. Autofocus also appears to fail frequently when recording videos. The entire test, including many comparison images and videos, can be viewed here.
