Oppo is expanding the rollout of its Android 16–based ColorOS 16 to six more smartphones, bringing the update to several popular Reno and F-series models. The release delivers a refreshed design, smoother system animations, and new personalization and AI features as Oppo continues updating older devices.

Oppo kicked off the global rollout of ColorOS 16 in November last year, with the Oppo Find N5, Find N3 Flip, and Find X8 series being the first devices to get a taste of the new Android 16-based update. Since then, the Chinese OEM has slowly but steadily expanded its latest software skin to a growing number of Oppo phones and tablets. After updating most of its 2025 device portfolio, the company is now turning its attention to older devices and has begun rolling out the new update to six new Oppo phones.

As confirmed by the company over at Oppo Community and several reports on Reddit and Facebook, stable ColorOS 16 is now rolling out to the Oppo Reno 13, Reno 12, Reno 11 Pro, Reno 11, Reno 10 Pro Plus, and Oppo F25 Pro. As always, the update is rolling out incrementally and may take anywhere from a few days or weeks to reach every device across different regions. If you haven’t received the push notification yet, you can manually check for it by heading to Settings > System & Updates> Software Update.

The Reno 13 update carries version 16.0.1.302 and weighs about 3.68GB in size, while the Reno 12 is picking up 16.0.2.400, coming in at 3.98GB or 4.04GB, depending on the region. These phones were officially confirmed to get ColorOS 16 in Q1 2026, so Oppo is making good on its promise.

Here's what to expect from ColorOS 16

Several exciting changes and features await Oppo users updating to ColorOS 16. The new release builds on the previous version with a refreshed visual identity inspired by the “interplay of light and shadow” in nature, giving the interface a cleaner, more modern feel. Oppo is also emphasizing smoother day-to-day performance through its new Seamless Animation system, which aims to make app launches, multitasking, widget interactions, and general navigation feel noticeably more fluid and responsive.

For personalization, the new Flux Home Screen allows you to freely resize app icons and folders into tall, wide, or large formats, with the layout automatically adapting around them. The Always-On-Display (AOD) has also been overhauled to match the iPhone’s AOD implementation and now lets you see your full wallpaper. Oppo also touts the new AI Mind Space, a hub that allows you to quickly access generative AI tools to help summarize recordings, generate creative writing, or use its new AI Portrait Glow feature to adjust lighting in your photos with a single tap.
