Oppo has reportedly done what Samsung couldn't

Oppo is working on several smartphones for this year, including the Find X9 Ultra, the Find X9s Pro, as well as the next flagship series, Find X10. While the Find X9 Ultra will be the first Ultra phone to release outside of China, the Find X10 will also bring something that will be a first for a Chinese smartphone maker, if the latest leaks turn out to be accurate. This is something Samsung was expected to bring with its Galaxy S26 series but reports have stated that will not be the case.
Leaker Smart Pikachu has claimed on Weibo that the Oppo Find X10 will come with built in magnets and will launch in the second half of the year. This would be the first time a major Chinese smartphone manufacturer has put magnets in their smartphone. Like Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem, it would allow the Find X10 series to work with magnetic accessories. Of course, the phones will support wireless charging but it is unclear if that will be the latest Qi2.2 standard.
Samsung was expected to finally add magnets to its phones with the Galaxy S26 series but there have been multiple reports suggesting we will not be getting that upgrade with this year’s flagships. The Galaxy S27 series in 2027 will mostl likely come with built-in magnets.
For now, there is very little information about the specifications of the Find X10 series. An earlier report citing another known leaker claimed that the Find X10 Pro will feature the Dimensity 9600 chip while the Find X10 will come with the Dimensity 9500+. Oppo is also said to be working on a dual 200 MP camera setup with 1/1.3-inch sensors for the upcoming phones.
As for release, Smart Pikachu says second half of this year which could be anywhere between June and December. Notably, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro were released in October of last year, so an October 2026 release for the Find X10 series would make the most sense. That being said, Oppo has not shared any such information so take this with a pinch of salt.
