More storage options, an additional color, and a lower price to go with it. Anyone primarily interested in the Hasselblad camera can also import the Oppo Find X9 Ultra as a China model and save a substantial amount of money in the process. Import pricing for the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is up to 35% lower than in Europe, and the Hasselblad camera kit is already available as well.

There are currently three options for buying the Oppo Find X9 Ultra: choosing the official EU model, for example directly from Oppo's German online store, gives buyers the benefit of extended EU warranty and support options, the ability to trade in an older device, various extras such as a tablet or a smartwatch, and a €100 discount off the official €1,699 price with the promo code FINDX9USAVE100. The global Oppo Find X9 Ultra is available a bit cheaper through import channels, as we already summarized a few days ago. Unlike the European variant, the global version is also available with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, though not in white.

That color is exclusive to mainland China, so anyone who specifically wants Oppo's Hasselblad camera flagship in this finish will have to import the China model anyway. Compared with pre-launch pricing, the China version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is now available starting at €1,097 on TradingShenzhen. At AverageDad, that storage option starts at around €1,116, while WondaMobile lists the phone at around €1,166. The 512GB model that is directly comparable to the EU version costs €1,157 at TradingShenzhen, while the 16/512GB variant is being sold for around €1,257. Last but not least, the 16GB/1TB model is available for around €1,327.

The optional Hasselblad Photography Kit, which includes the case and adapter along with the 300mm tele extender, is also already being offered by some retailers. It can be used with both the global model and the China model. At TradingShenzhen, it is listed at about €377, making it the cheapest option among the sources we checked, while other buying options include Trinity Electronics. We did not verify various sellers on platforms such as AliExpress. That said, prospective buyers should make sure to check out our initial hands-on of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra.

Keep this in mind when importing the Chinese Find X9 Ultra

Whether importing the China model is worth it when the global variant is already available starting at around €1,400 is something each buyer has to decide for themselves. The key point is that China ROM variants come with some limitations, and the most important is likely the lack of eSIM support. The lack of compatibility with Wear OS smartwatches can also be an issue in some cases, while Android Auto should work on Oppo and Vivo devices. Network issues should not be a problem in Europe, because according to the Chinese model's spec sheet, LTE band 20 and the most important 5G bands are supported. Unlike Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo also let users set the system language to German, although some Google apps are unavailable on the China ROM, including Quick Share. Google Gemini can be integrated as the default assistant through workarounds, at least that works with Vivo's OriginOS. One important note: imported devices, both global and China versions, generally come with only a one-year warranty.
